Synopsis from Goodreads
time for war.
Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.
She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.
Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.
In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.
I've waited some time to review this book and I'm not even sure why. I think it's probably because I wasn't sure how I really felt about it. I loved the first book and was so excited to read the second that I feel as though maybe my expectations were too high? I don't know. I am really disliking Adam and found myself rooting for the enemy. Don't get me wrong, there was some important information covered in this book. I just felt that Juliette weakened into this whinny, ungrateful, and selfish person. She has all this power and there is so much at stake that I can't understand why all she's worrying about is her relationship with Adam.
Kenji is by far my favorite character in the entire series right now! If it weren't for Kenji I don't even know if I would have read the entire book. I'm really enjoying learning the other side of Warner even though he is twisted. I'm hoping his character will continue to evolve in the next book. Meeting his father has only added depth to his character and I'm curious where that will end.
Needless to say, I will finish the series, I have to know what happens regardless and I'm hoping that in the third book Juliette will strengthen as a heroine.
