Beat the Heat Readathon

Phantasmic Reads

The Beat the Heat Readathon runs from July 29th through August 11th and is hosted by Jessi from Auntie Spinelli Reads & Reanna from Phantasmic Reads. What does this readathon entail, you ask? Well, read as much or as little as you want – the main point is to READ! You set your own goal, and for two weeks you read as many books as you can/want to reach your goal!
This readathon overlaps perfectly with my holiday time so I might as well attempt to get some of my TBR list down!

Some other information, if you're interested in joining:
  • There will be mini-challenges throughout the Readathon for participants, along with a grand prize giveaway at the end!
  • Sign up at Auntie Spinelli Reads or Phantasmic Reads. You may join whenever you like, but to be eligible for our grand prize giveaway, you must sign up by August 5th
    My Goal
OK, so I've never done a readathon before, but since I'm on vacation and have a 10 hour road trip coming up I figured what the heck! Here is my goal for the next couple of weeks. I'll do my best to update my progress at least every 5-10 days.

#1 Finish reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

The Fault in Our Stars

#2 Finish reading Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson

Wintergirls

#3 Finish listening to Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza

Mila 2.0 (MILA 2.0, #1)

#4 Read Go Ask Alice by Beatrice Sparks (as Anonymous)

Go Ask Alice

#5 (and this is pushing it) I am hoping to read Endure (book 4 of the Need Series) by Carrie Jones

Endure (Need, #4)

Wish me luck! If you're participating, good luck, and be sure to leave me a link to your post so I can check it out.

    1. I'm in chapter 5 of TFIOS and I'm starting to get worried about how things are going to end! Wintergirls, I've only just finished the first chapter so I don't know too much yet. I'll let you know how the other two pan out ;) Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Thank you! I normally don't read books like TFIOS, Wintergirls, and Go Ask Alice but they came highly recommended to me by my niece, so of course I have to check them out. So far, they are not disappointing.

  6. I thought about posting the identity of the books I want to read...maybe I'll go back and do that! I liked Mila 2.0; will be interested to see what you think about Go Ask Alice.

    My post is here!
